The District Conference was held in Akureyri, Iceland on the 8th-11th of September 2011. The conference theme was Gender and climate change. Three young women gave lectures on the theme. PDFs of their slides can be obtained here:
The
venue was Hof, Cultural and Conference
Centre which is in its first year of operation. It is
beautifully situated by the harbour in the very centre of town.

Get together was held at the University of Akureyri on the 8th of September. It was well attended and and a great success.
Interesting sight seeing trips were offered both around the town Akureyri and to surrounding areas and Lake Mývatn.
