This is the official website of Zonta International's District 13. Denmark, Lithuania, Iceland and Norway constitute District 13. The first club in the District was chartered in 1935.

Zontians congratulate Iceland‘s new Minister of Finace

Representatives from Zonta‘s Area 03 in Iceland visited Oddný Harðardóttir, Iceland‘s new Minister of
Finance and congratulated her as she is the first woman to hold that position. The Zontians want also to point out that more women than men are members of the Icelandic government for the first
time.
It is important in the regard of Zonta‘s Area 03 that women accept responsibility in society equal to men as research shows that companies and
institutions are often better run when men and women take equal part in their management.
Icelandic Zontians wish Finance Minister Oddný Harðardóttir success in her new position.
