This is the official website of Zonta International's District 13. Denmark, Lithuania, Iceland and Norway constitute District 13. The first club in the District was chartered in 1935.

| The District Conference was held in Akureyri, Iceland on the 8-11 of September 2011.The venue was Hof, Cultural and Conference Centre which is in its first year of
operation. Ragnheiður Hansdóttir the Districts Govenor opened the conference and her opening speach can be read here. |

| The conference theme was Gender and Climate Change. Three young women gave talks on the theme. They are: Auður H Ingólfsdóttir, Assistant Professor, Bifröst University and she talked about Climate Change and Environmental Degradation - What is the link to gender equality? Embla Eir Oddsdóttir, Project Manager, Stefansson Arctic Institute and her talk had the title Climate Change – Displacement and Disaster or Resilience and Recovery? Brynhildur Pétursdóttir, Representant of The Consumer Association of Iceland and she talked about Women and Sustainable Consumption. The three speakers are on the picture to the right besides Ragnheiður Hansdóttir and they are in this order Auður, Embla Eir and Brynhildur.
